Becky Eldredge is an Ignatian-trained spiritual director passionate about helping people live and lead with Christ. She does this by accompanying people as they navigate deep waters of their faith lives through spiritual direction, writing, retreats, teaching, and as founder of Ignatian Ministries.
Becky accompanies clergy, religious, and lay leaders through spiritual direction in monthly spiritual direction and through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. She serves as the Coordinator of Spiritual Direction for the Diocese of Baton Rouge, and she is part of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Spirituality Center teaching staff, where she trains spiritual directors in the Ignatian tradition. Becky also works with individuals and groups to teach Ignatian prayer, Ignatian discernment, the Ignatian art of accompaniment.
Becky’s heart for accompaniment began over twenty-five years ago through Ignatian retreat ministry. She is an award-winning author of two books: The Inner Chapel (Loyola Press, April 2020) and Busy Lives and Restless Souls (Loyola Press, March 2017), with a third book coming January 2026. She was awarded the Writers Award in Spirituality in 2023 for her contributions in Ignatian prayer, spirituality, and discernment. A growing part of her ministry is empowering others to use their gifts and voices to share the wisdom of Ignatian spirituality.
Her latest passion and mission is founding Ignatian Ministries, a virtual home of accompaniment who’s vision is to renew the church by forming leaders in the Ignatian way of prayer, discernment and accompaniment. Ignatian Ministries is a non-profit ministry that offers retreats, prayer resources, community, and spiritual direction for a growing international community.
