Lord, 

Life lays upon us many burdens which make us weary. 

We come to you for much needed rest and renewal. We long to sit in your holy presence. 

Soften our hearts so that your Living Word may saturate our entire being - mind, body, and soul. 

Draw us near and into a deep encounter with you so we might be refilled with the great love you have for us. 

Help us to surrender what is no longer ours to carry so we are open to receive the gifts and graces you want to give us. 

Set us afire so that, with reignited hearts of zeal, we will go out and proclaim the Good News of your light and love in word and deed to others.
