Meet the Ignatian Ministries Team

Kim Scott is the Chief Operating Officer for Ignatian Ministries, joining the team in September of 2024. Kim has enjoyed a 20-year career as a Human Resources executive, working in the hospitality, medical, and entertainment industries. As she transitioned into mid-life, her desire for finding a deeper meaning and purpose for her life led her to the grace of adoption and then to begin a new career in church ministry. For almost 20 years, Kim walked with countless souls as a spiritual mentor, helping others discover their inner life and unique meaning and purpose. Kim describes her life’s purpose as being a force and a voice for hope and healing. She lives in Henderson, NV with Gary, her husband of 30+ years and Kiara, their young adult daughter. Together, they enjoy their family getaways, as well as, their very competitive family game nights.

Mary Ann Gessner has worked with all generations as an art teacher, in Nursing Homes as Recreation Director, Social Services and Admissions Director and Administrator. She was the Director of Admission with a focus on international student recruitment for St. Johnsbury Academy and holds a BA in Studio Art and Art Education from the University of Bridgeport, CT and a M.S.A. from St. Michael’s College in VT. Since retiring in 2015, Mary Ann enjoyed the gift of time to nest, quilt, and cook. This gift of time became more intentional and led to Ignatian Spirituality via the Inner Chapel and Becky’s Overwhelmed No More retreat and the 19th Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises. Mary Ann is an Ignatian trained spiritual director in private practice, a CPE trained Interfaith Chaplain and is applying her love of storytelling as a writer. Her two sons have moved gracefully into their adult lives with their families. Mary Ann and her husband still live in the log home they built almost 50 years ago in the woods of Sheffield, Vermont.

Michele Eickman has held a lifelong love for Christ and Christ’s transforming mission to love humanity. She has lived that mission through her primary vocation as a wife and mother. Out of desire to serve God with her grace-gifted abilities, she has also responded to the call of love through volunteerism and serving her local parish community for several years as Director of Faith Formation, leading families to an encounter with Christ in the Church and through the Sacraments. After being introduced to Ignatian Spirituality several years ago, her heart opened in a new way and the transforming love of God presented a new call to join the Ignatian Ministries team and assist in leading people into deeper waters of faith. She is grateful to the call of Christ, to the people who have loved her well and walked along with her, and for the future of accompanying others in that love. She lives in Calhoun, GA with her husband Tim and daughter Annie, with three young adult sons in college and beyond. They love being active together - through fitness, food, and travel.
