On Easter Sunday, we sing out “Alleluia!” and declare, “HE IS RISEN!” Then what?
We come into Easter after focusing for weeks on walking with Jesus to his death and bringing the Lenten season into our daily lives through penance, almsgiving, and fasting. Once Easter Sunday arrives, we are often left without a plan to walk with the now-risen Christ and bring the joy of the resurrection into our daily actions. We often stay stuck at the cross.
What would it look like to...
Embrace this season of resurrection in the same way we embrace the season in the desert?
What would change in our hearts if we...
Intentionally set this Easter season to be a time of embracing the Risen Christ and bringing more joy, gratitude, and purpose into our daily lives?
What would it be like if we...
Take seriously the commission of the Risen Christ to go forth into the world and share our gifts with others?
This year, we are inviting you to join our community for a NEW! eight-week virtual retreat, Saturated in Joy: Finding Meaning in Serving God in All Things, to walk the Easter season together.
This journey runs from Easter Sunday, March 31, until May 25. We will pray the entirety of the Easter season together from the moment of the Resurrection through Pentecost and into the Ascension. Saturated in Joy provides a guided path of daily prayer to help you lean into the joy of the resurrection, spend intentional time with the Risen Christ, and listen to where God might be sending you forth.
This unique online retreat, based on the 500-year-old wisdom of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola provides an individual retreat experience within a virtual community of faith.
Anchored in the fourth week of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, we will intentionally pray with all of the Resurrection scriptures using the prayer tools of Ignatian Contemplation, Lectio Divina, and guided meditation. We will also pray with the four parts of St. Ignatius’ “Contemplation to Learn to Love Like God” that invites us to discern how God is inviting us to share all the gifts we received and share our gifts with world.
Along with community support, we’ll walk with you through a plan for daily prayer, NEW guided audio prayer reflections, guided Ignatian meditations, and other spiritual tools. Each week there will be an opportunity to gather and share the graces of the retreat on a community wall.
The purpose of this retreat is to provide you accompaniment and a plan to be saturated in joy and moved to selflessly serving God in all things.
Each of the eight weeks of the online retreat focus on a different grace:
- Week 1: To believe in the joy of the Risen Christ
- Week 2: To encounter the Risen Christ in my life
- Week 3: To see and savor that the Risen Christ is with me
- Week 4: To know the Risen Christ walks with me
- Week 5: To believe in the joy of the Resurrection in my life
- Week 6: To know the Risen Christ commissions me in joy
- Week 7: To have interior knowledge of all the good given to me by God
- Week 8: To share the gifts I have received so I can go forth to love, praise and serve God in all people and things
Together with our team of Ignatian prayer guides, we will help you more intentionally embrace the joy of Christ and live that in the world.
