The Grace of the Fourth Week
Saturated in Joy is based on the fourth week of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The fourth week focuses on the Resurrection of Jesus and Jesus handing over his mission to his followers.
During our eight-week journey, we will pray with all the ways that the Risen Christ manifests himself to his followers. We will notice how when he appears to them he comes to console them and offer them hope. Today, we can find the same consolation and hope in the Risen Christ.
Our retreat includes the elements of the fourth week of the Exercises:
· A slow walk through all the Resurrection appearances
· A imaginative contemplation on the Risen Christ Appears to His Mother
· Guided meditations St. Ignatius’ “Contemplation to Learn to Love Like God”
We will pray with the graces of the fourth week of the Spiritual Exercises also that include themes of:
· Knowing the joy of the Resurrection in a felt, interior way
· Growing awareness of all the great good given to me by God
· Sharing the gifts given to me so I can love, praise and serve God in all things.
Know of our prayers for you as the gift of Resurrection joy saturates in your life!
